@Andrew Patton Oh, if you meant this, \[ a + b = 10 \Longleftrightarrow a = 10 - b \] it follows from the fact that the equality is unchanged on subtracting the same quantity on both sides. Ameya Daigavane · 3 months, 3 weeks ago
