An easy question, a weird solution

Based on a recent survey, the amount of people suffering from a particular disease is 2% of the population. A young, unexperienced doctor could or could not detect the disease. The probabilty of him being right when he confirms the diseases' threat in a patient is 50% If the probabilty of him being wrong while he neglected the disease's presence in a patient is 98%, find the probabilty of the doctor confirming the disease in a patient.
