# Andrei's Messageboard

Hey guys! I am Andrei, and I adore maths. If you have any questions to ask, any of my problems which you do not understand, just post here and I will reply as soon as possible. If you are on Google$+$, my name is Andrei Golovanov and I have the IMO logo as my profile picture.

P.S. I also adore physics, math, dodgeball, football, apples and table tennis.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

I think a glance of eureka in mathematics is just needed to like it.(In response to your great grandmother and her grandson).

Hi Andrei , what's your favorite football team ? Mine's Bayern Munich!

- 6 years, 2 months ago

Hi Azhaghu! Though I do not really watch much football, I've always liked Manchester City and Real Madrid.

- 6 years, 2 months ago

What's your favorite topic in Maths ? Seeing that you've provided a set for all the topics , I'm confused on what's your fav. topic!

- 6 years, 2 months ago

Since I started using brilliant, I've felt a pull towards Combinatorics and Probability. I didn't know much about both those topics heretofore, but now, as you can see, I've got Level 5 in them. Algebra is also one of my all-time favourites. As I do not know any calculus (we haven't even started it in school) I am using brilliant to help, but am still weak. Geometry is probably one of those topics which I don't feel particularly attracted towards.Number Theory is also one I find quite interesting, but Combinatorics and Algebra are probably my favourite.

Yea you don't come across calculus until college, unless you decide to take a maths AS level early or do some research.

- 6 years, 2 months ago

The latter being what I'm attempting:)
