Atoms studying atoms?

We are made up of atoms! we know what are atoms and what they are made of and how they ineract! so in a indirect way atoms are studying themselves.

what i mean is we are atoms but still we dont know the origin of the atoms!!! quite bizzare hah??

Of course, one can ask: since we are built of atoms, can we ever understand the true nature of atoms? In other words is there a physics version of Godel's incompleteness theorem?

That paper is really interesting, I think Hofstadter mentioned this in GEB as well.

Genius!

I thought the physics version of Gödel's incompleteness theorem was the Heisenberg uncertainty principle .

- 4 years, 9 months ago

Nope! Quantum mechanics (as we implement it at least) still falls under a computational framework, and so one can argue about its completeness (as per the discussion above).

the computational framework works not on hard ground facts but observed probability

We're made of cells, cells were made of atoms. We are solid. In fact, 99.9999% of an atom is just an empty space. Atoms doesn't touch each other. If you push your finger to wall or anything, it may bend, but it because of electromagnetic force between the atoms, since we know that outer orbit of an atom consists of electrons. atoms are bonded by atomic bonds like ionic bond, covalent bond, or metallic bond. It's so complicated, so if you want to know further, learn about quantum.

this happens when i read biology atom studying atom is a different thing but think what happen if we read an article about how brain works i mean what would brain think at that time when he is reading about himself quite funny ...

atom means a small particle which includes energies(+ & - ve) . god just made us using small atom's sea & now we r full of atomsssssssssss
