This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

My vote goes to @Brian Charlesworth

- 5 years, 5 months ago

off-course ... He is Genius in problem making and Solving and Helping others ...

I did not see any personality Like him in my life Till now .....

I respect @Brian Charlesworth and also another same personality @Michael Mendrin from my bottom of Heart ! I love and respect them very very much !

My upvotes also goes to both of him

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Yes, I agree with everything in this comment. He has one of the nicest personalities on brilliant and really adds to the "community effect". His problems too are most original, creative, and tricky for the mind to work through.

There are some of his problems which I am still working on despite having started them a week or so ago. I REFUSE to click that reveal solution button. This problem solving mindset has carried me a very long way and I am eternally greatful that he inspired me to embrace this attitude.

Thanks for all the inspiration @Brian Charlesworth. Stay brilliant!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Wow... very kind words, Trevor. Thank you! The Brilliant community has had an effect on me too; I am grateful for its existence. :D

As for problem-solving, there are drawbacks to the "Never Reveal" mindset, (which we have discussed before), but as you have a good head on your shoulders I'm sure you'll always make optimal use of this attitude. :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Yes, Michael sir's problems are nice as well, but they usually go tangentially over my head. (I know that's not his mistake and I obviously respect him)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Thanks, Karan! I'm touched by your appreciation. I really enjoy the time I spend on Brilliant; this is a vibrant community of amazing young minds eager to improve their skills and help others do the same. I learn something new here every day. :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Thanks, Pranjal. There are so many good problem posters on Brilliant, yourself included, so I think that we should just be commending everyone who contributes rather than singling people out. That said, I do appreciate the recognition, and to return the favor, I nominate @Pranjal Jain .:)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Yay!! Feeling so proud to be nominated by THE Brian Charlesworth. Thanks a lot! Though I am not posting problems since long due to busy schedule.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

This really hearts .... His Problems are so Cool , Most Important thing is People Like Ronak and Deepanshu Create Questions From thier own mind , and They Create Realy awesome Situations in Physics ... and what we see when we got Right Time to appreciate their contribution .... then some 13-15 years old student's just Downvotes their names , Beacuse they just did not want names other than them .... while Question which genrally they Post are directly from any Books or from their coaching ... So I don't think this makes them Best Problem Poster .... !

I agree Their are students of this age who have abilty to create questions at their own ... So I appreciate their Thinking ability ! People Like @Satvik Golechha Krishna Ar are so so awesome

But all others should also respect others ....

All of us know (Excepts some kids ..) People Like jatin yadav are so so so awesome that they create so much beautiful situations in Physics !

But I guess if I mention his name , Then there exist so many stupids (sorry for bad language , but I hearts) who un-nesseserily downvotes him ... even without knowing his Thinking abilty .. why just beacuase they want their names instead of the one who really Deserve !

Also I think Title should be ...

# who is Best original problem Poster ?

what do you think @Gautam Sharma

- 5 years, 5 months ago

o.O

I dont think I have ever disrespected anyone here.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

@Karan Shekhawat Thanks for mentioning me, but I didn't like your, "But they should also respect others .... " I have never intentionally tried to disrespect anyone here, and in fact, I have a LOT of respect for members like Jatin, Ronak, etc., who constantly help the community with their knowledge and skill.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

No no .... you take my words wrongly ... I meant others should respect everyother ... Sorry for My words ... Truly I'am really appreciate your knowledge guy's .. you and Krishna ar , are to awesome ..

I know u both are moderators also and u always very kind and Helps Brilliant communuty ... I was adressing to others student who downvotes Ronak , Deepanshu , Pi han goh etc... I was not adressing you guy's ... So please don't feel bad...! @Krishna Ar @Satvik Golechha

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Not at all, I though that was fer us, thanks for clearing it up! @Karan Shekhawat

- 5 years, 5 months ago

So 'twas a case of misunderstanding. :P

- 5 years, 5 months ago

I totaly agree with you guys like SG , Ronak Agarwal and Deepanshu Gupta post awesome questions , don't know why the community is downvoting their names. They may feel quite bad that even after posting such incredible problems they are not getting what they deserve. Why Aditya Raut name not here ???

- 5 years, 5 months ago

- 5 years, 5 months ago

oh my god 4 downvotes to the genius , who is father of almost all maths students ... He is ingenius ..! This hearts... I believe all downvotes comes from 13-14 year old Kid's ... I know they will downvotes this comment also ..... :P

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Some people are jealous ... -_- (I don't want to mention the name)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Yes they are .... I believe when they will grow .. then they gain some matuarity ..!

But Really Man , I'am not lying ... You are the only one (which I know) who Post origiinal Proeblems and really u are good at Problem making ...

Please Don't stop doing so ... Post more and more .... and I believe some-day JEE will take your question in their entrance Test... :) :P

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Try my 700 followers problem. Its created by me! :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Why did so many people downvote this?

- 5 years, 5 months ago

That's what I think , Daniel. I guess they don't solve them!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Satvik is active and he is one of the best problem creators on Brilliant, his abilities can't be judged simply by the no. Of up votes for his name.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

I m copying Sandeep sir's words from one of his notes. "

To

The Downvoter,

I think you're afraid of failures, or may be you feel others are superior than you, or you need some inner peace, or you're jealous of others, or may be any other reason due to which you're enough determined to downvote the comments of the wonderful people here around you.

You need to appreciate their talent, thoughts and their strengths. Because it's what they have earned in the life, it's what they achieved it, it's what they deserve it.

You can't lift yourself up through this way. For that, you need to focus on yourself, bring your potential out, appreciate others' feelings and talent, and you should learn to love the people and all the good things around you.

I don''t find your any logical reason behind your intention.. What you think may be that's right. But that doesn't include that others are wrong. Because $2+3$ ois $5$ and same is $1+4$ and\0+5) and so on...All I want to say is that you should respect others' thoughts too, even if you don't agree with that.

Please Don't do this. It's not good. Its a humble request to you.

With Due Respect."

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Can we take more than one name??

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Yeah you can give multiple names other than yourself's .There is no mention of not posting multiple names in the rules above. :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Deepanshu Gupta .

- 5 years, 5 months ago

He will be back............I know!! I called him!!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

7 downvotes... ??? have you guy's seen his original's Physics Question's ... I beilieve you will not even can Solved an Single of them .. So Please Don't Downvotes his comment's ...Sorry to rude , But this heart !

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Physics on brilliant is alive because of people like depanshu and josh sir.

How can anyone give downvotes to deepanshu !!!

Try his problems you won't solve anyone of them.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Totally agreed with you ... But you missed your name..! Infact It seems that Staff has no issue with physics and all Physics is moderated by People Like : , You , josh ,deepanshu !

And It is extremly disappointing that People (I mean all 13-15 kids) Don't appericiate Your Excellent thinking and Problem Making ability ... Only Few people have talent of #Problem Making .. and you guys are one of them..

I salute your Skills ! and your Contrubution to Make Physics alive on brilliant.

Ignore all those stupids kids , they are not mature , But believe me we all other Respect you very much..!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

truth is spoken

- 5 years, 5 months ago

- 5 years, 5 months ago

@siddharth bhatt We must not forget the one who hosts this contest :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

How many posts will you make... I am editing the note one can at most post 2 names

- 5 years, 5 months ago

@Harsh Shrivastava His problems are awesome and he is one of the most "sharing and liking" person of brilliant.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Thanks bro, but you deserve to be the winner of $\huge \mathbb{BPPC}$!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Not really , Sandeep sir deserves it . :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

@Mehul Arora 's "Cheers" problems (Hawkeye of Brilliant).

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Now for problem creating, Nihar Mahajan definitely deserves the credit. At this age, he's given birth to some very creative problems that i really liked. And you can see him constantly evolving, refining his skills.. which is beautifully menifested in each of his new problems.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Thank you very much sir. Your problems are really nice (some of them go tangentially over my head) also I like the titles of your problems.Keep posting them for us. :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Oh.. you're going to beat them soon enough. Thanks.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

As far as problem posting is concerned, no one can beat Sandeep Bhardwaj. On a normal day, he can post as much as 30 good problems. So my vote goes straight to him....

- 5 years, 5 months ago

nihar mahajan

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Thanks @Harshi Singh $\ddot \smile$

- 5 years, 5 months ago

always welcome

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Wow @Nihar Mahajan , That's Great! Good work Bro.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

he is of 14 just like me but he knows many concepts at this age only which are even not in our course....really impressive

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Yes, I know. He is my best friend. Try My Problems! :D

- 5 years, 5 months ago

@Chung Kevin Sir, Surely. $\ddot\smile$

- 5 years, 5 months ago

- 5 years, 5 months ago

- 5 years, 5 months ago

I am so late to this contest...I was inactive for so long thanks for mentioning me.

- 5 years, 4 months ago

Like, I'm a bit confused. Your status mentions you're a graduate. But it shows your age as 19. Which year and stream of engg are you in , dude?

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Incorrect age...

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Wow! Thanks For @Mentioning Me! An honor! :D

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Sandeep bhardwaj sir.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Most annoying part of posting problems is when no one does your problem, hard work in making the problem goes waste.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Please don't kill me for this but are his questions original , I mean many of his questions I saw in books and Coaching material.

- 5 years, 5 months ago

No one can kill you!!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

hahaha... I liked ur Lines ... " Please don't kill me " .. I understand Sandeep sir is that Personality on brilliant , if any one Speaks anysthing about him , then they may kill that one....

But Yes I agreed with you Ronak !

Real Honour should be given to those who post Original Questions .!

So Title should be

# Who post Best Original Problems ?

In my Views , some contestant who Post Most Beuatuful and original Questions ever are ( In no Particular order) :

$\bullet$ Ronak agarwal

$\bullet$ Deepanshu gupta

$\bullet$ Brian charlesworth Sir

$\bullet$Michael Mendrin Sir

$\bullet$ Jatin Yadav (Although he is not active from a year , Since He got selected in IIT Dehli)

$\bullet$Anish puthraya (Although he is also not active from a year , Since He got selected in IIT Bombay)

$\bullet$ Staff Members (David Mattingly Sir (Physics) & Calvin Lin Sir(Maths) )

$\bullet$ Josh Silverman Sir

$\bullet$ Satvik Golechha (upcoming genius...)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Thanks again, Karan. I would add @Trevor Arashiro to the list as well. (I can think of many others but since this is my second nomination I've hit my prescribed limit.)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

His problems are really cool and helpful for "IIT JEE" preparation.Upvoted :)

- 5 years, 5 months ago

Nice choice !! Upvoted!!

- 5 years, 5 months ago

@Sandeep Bhardwaj sir..

- 5 years, 5 months ago
