Book Recommendations

Hello Brilliant Guys,

I've also been a great fan of books. Books are the store of wisdom and experience, a treasure house of knowledge, which broadens our outlook. We come to know our civilization, blessed by contact with great scholars, poets, and philosophers through them. They never misguide us. Here is something I can't resist myself to mention about the books:

Books are an excellent source of dissemination of useful ideas. They are useful tools to popularize the fruits of our research in various fields of knowledge. In fact, no single labor of human fruit has been as helpful to the advancement of civilization as books.

The kingdom of books is as vast as the universe. There are books on literature, science, fiction, history, art, culture, civilization, architecture, fashion, technology, philosophy, etc. Some books are for serious reading; some are intended to enrich our knowledge and learning. Many books give us an insight into the various aspect of life. Books on travel and adventure infuse into us a spirit of fearlessness and adventure. The reading of novels is a pleasant pastime for many of us. There is no sphere of life which has not been explored by the books.

As a matter of fact, surrounded by books as the student is, he is more like to be attracted to those books which on his prescribed course of study than general reading. As one’s interests grow, tastes are more specialized, and books are picked up for a variety of reasons not always connected with one’s vocation.

I've heard a lot of people asking for the recommendation of books for various purposes. Some ask for the preparation of competitive exams like JEE, SAT, etc. while some others ask for building the basics in a particular arena, and some others ask for general reading and entertainment.

I've started this discussion so that we can help out each other to know the best books and learn from them.

You can use this forum to:

  1. Ask the community to recommend you the books of your relevance.

  2. Provide suggestions of the books to others that you loved.

  3. Provide feedback on the books recommended by the people.

  4. Share your experience of the books you've read.

  5. Share your thoughts about any author.

  6. Share any experience about reading, writing and books.

  7. Recommend the relevant Brilliant wikis to the needy.

I hope that this discussion will cherish everyone with an amazing collection of great books, we are going to get through this note. And raise your hands if books have always been a good friend to you. Honestly, I am raising my hands. Books help me melt in order to give the desired shape to myself.

Thanks!
