# CBSE Boards 2014-15 - Part II

Hello friends!

The previous Note had got tooo many replies (not that I'm complaining !!) resulting in a delay in it's opening , also we had discussed about things relating to stuff other than Exams !!

I really don't mind if you guys want to talk about it , just that I'll have to create yet another note , like a new note after every exam !!

Well, I don't have anything new to say to you guys , just that I'd love it if all my friends who are giving the Boards and other equivalent exams comment here and share your experience with all the Brilliant Minds out here . There's no discrimination between Class 12 , Class 11 and Class 10 students , anybody can comment here relating to their exams .$\huge \ddot\smile$

It would be even better if you comment after each exam , so we can get a fair idea on the relative difficulty of questions from the different Boards .

In the last note , some of my friends were very active in the sense that as soon as they got home from the Exam Hall , they shared their experiences with us .

Is it just me or is brilliant male dominated...don't u know any girls azhaghu?! : p

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Well , the only girl whom I know and is giving JEE is you so I thought I should mention you . You'll be more than welcome of you want to ask some of your female friends to join this discussion

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Umm, I am a boy

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Sorry , for that !!! Edited !!!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Huh! I'm honoured...but I have only one other friend here and she'll probably go crazy with the no of notifications...: p

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Hmmm, but why do you feel honoured ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Go.Study.Physics

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah , hi to you too !!

I didn't know that you would come on Brilliant , else i would have mentioned you too !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

No need Mate. But Seriously Study Physics Now

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah , was studying Modern Physics , but I drifted off and landed here . Any way, I am taking a 15 min break , still 5 mins are left , so I'll utilise it here on Brilliant .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Best of luck for physics!! How's your prep going?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thanks , same to you :)

Just read through all the chapters once , so I was solving last 10 years Board Questions . How about you ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Cool. I still have nearly 6 chapters to cover up. I'll take my time though. If only I had your brains...

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Lol , everyone knows you are better in Physics !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

The "lol" says it all. You're joking around.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

The lol was for your comment , I had meant it all in good sense :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Cool. How's your JEE prep going?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Some 11th std concepts like Rotational motion and Waves have to be revised . Maths done , just Probability and Statistics are left . Whole Inorganic chem and Chemistry in Everyday Life is left .

I really think that your JEE prep's over , especially for Maths and Chem , no ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

And whole inorganic chem left :o When are you gonna start with it bruh??

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Tomorrow night ! Mostly what's left is gps 18 , 16 and 14,13 and yeah , d and f blocks too .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Not quite. Need to revise class 11 inorganic chem and some boring math chapters.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

So , what were you doing right now before coming online ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Please Post a solution For this and Another One

- 3 years, 4 months ago

@Vraj Mehta Solutions are up! @Azhaghu Roopesh M

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Perhaps Can you Think Something for This And Here

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Sketch the curve - I remember that question from some coordinate geometry book .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

As expected from the genius :) you have solved them and posted their solutions as well !!

I'll solve those questions a bit later , though .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

You know that I haven't solved those two yet !! How about you ask the Combi genius Pratik ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Current electricity. Wbu?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Nuclei Theory and some previous questions

- 3 years, 4 months ago

So you are from FIITJEE vadodara , have you met Nevil shah and hitarth shah - both from bharuch , heard about Jhanvi patel?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

@U Z I once did meet Hitarth Shah, when he appeared for JEE Advanced Mock test In YLC.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

@U Z Jhanvi's doesn't go to FIITJEE , she's from my Institute . I might be talking about the wrong Jhanvi , though. Can you describe her a bit ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I don't know about her much , but she is from a ICSE school bharuch , Nevil told she is among the topper.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

@U Z Then I guess I was wrong, the one I was talking abt is also good in studies , but she is from Vadodara , not Bharuch

So , how's your Prep for Physics going on ? Also I think that Pratik and Vraj will be online only at nights , so they'll be commenting only then .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Good , your's?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

@U Z I have to give a final reading to all the chapters one last time and then I'll be solving questions on them .

P.S. Pls don't go by what Pratik and Vraj had commented abt me on this page , they were just pulling my leg !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah He's The Topper. He will get 65+ without Studying

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah , Pratik : FIITJEE Topper , Vraj : Yukti Topper

- 3 years, 4 months ago

And Azhaghu Roopesh All-India Topper

- 3 years, 4 months ago

HAHAHA !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Just Reading "Through" wont help get 60+

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Well, what do you suggest ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I looked up on the sample papers and they are way beyond the school level

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I'll look them up on Friday , hopefully till then I'll be in a state to face them !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Well , I guess we won't be needing this note again , would we ?

But just to let you all know , if at all possible , I would request all of you guys to just comment in this note the day before JEE Mains . You know , just to wish luck !

Hope I'm not asking too much !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

yeah sure..!! Best of luck for maths.!!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thanks , same to you :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Definitely, for sure !! :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Best of luck dude ! for 2morrow

will do. All the best for math!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thanks , same to you :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Due to some unvoidable circumstances I think I'll not be able to come on Brilliant for some time . I just wish everyone luck in their never ending quest for knowledge and fun!!

With regards , Roopesh :)

PS : I am not referring to boards or JEE though . And yes best of luck to all my friends and to those whom I didn't get an opportunity to interact with .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

my last paper is physical education on 30th

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Wow! Have you finished studying for Mains ? You'll be in a frenzy by then !

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Okay.. Thanks, You too!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

How was the physics paper ? I thought it was lengthy, what are your views and marks expectations ?

I am only expecting 50-55/70. @Azhaghu Roopesh M @Ronak Agarwal @Mvs Saketh @Vraj Mehta @Pratik Shastri @megh choksi @Mahimn Bhatt @Raghav Vaidyanathan

- 3 years, 4 months ago

63-66 I am expecting.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

How much in practicals?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

30/30.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

You have external examiner right, are they lenient? Or the coaching institute plays a role in your practicals too?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

We have external examiner, coaching institute doesn't play any role in my practicals, but our school physics teacher do have a role in it, and he is impressed by my school performance( 240/240 in complete 11th term and 220/240 in complete 12 term) and says he will recommend to examiner good marks for me for practicals also at the day of practicals, I completed my experiments succesfully and gave all right answers in Viva.

Hence expecting 30/30 in practicals.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Wow. Nice. I didn't know that school teachers can recommend for a good score! Do you go to school separately and attend coaching separately?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yes.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Which coaching institute do you go?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Fiitjee.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

But your school (St.anselm) is associated with Reso right?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Nope.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Just curious to know, how much rank do you usually get for AITS and AIITS??

- 3 years, 4 months ago

He said in one of the note, he is nearly always in top 10.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

In both AIITS and AITS??

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I don't know much about these tests .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

same here @Karan Siwach
did a lot of silly mistakes : 1) like in that flux question i did not see that we have to find the charge also in cube 2)made calculation error in that telescope question 3) calculation error in that capacitor question

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Which question paper set are you talking about? charge in the cube? Are you from delhi or foriegn ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Delhi board

- 3 years, 4 months ago

ohk, mine was outside delhi.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

it was quite conceptual

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Are you expecting very strict checking or it was just that your paper didnot go well. Btw you are level 5 in mechanics and electromagnetism..:P :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Hey guys how was ur JEE exam any tips regarding timing the paper and stuff??

- 3 years, 3 months ago

How was your paper? Can you pls upload it in a new note?Pleeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssssseeee

- 3 years, 3 months ago

yeah sure... by the way my paper was not today i have opted for online.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Okay! i didn't read you full comment.Sorry

- 3 years, 3 months ago

New note on this link. pls comment here

- 3 years, 3 months ago

- 3 years, 3 months ago

To all JEE test takers,

If you get selected to iit or any very reputed colleges, what subjects will you all take? How will they related to your current subjects like CS and IP?

I checked iit bombay site, where i saw so many subcategories in electric dept. Do you have to attend all the lectures, or you get to choose some? Does your coaching centre offer pieces of advice on the same?

Thanx in advance @Pranjal Jain , @Harshvardhan Mehta , @Gautam Sharma , @Azhaghu Roopesh M , @Mahimn Bhatt , @Ronak Agarwal , @Pratik Shastri , @Vraj Mehta , @Cody Martin and others..

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Actually i have same goals as Roopesh but there is a difference that my coaching helps us a lot.I go to Fiitjee and they are EverReady to give good advices and suggestions .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Well, I believe that whatever C++/Python/MySQL I learnt in these two years would certainly be helpful if I get CS in any IIT. I'll get an edge over others on writing better algorithms. I don't know what lectures do we have to attend over there. What all I have heard is of weekends which doesn't seems relevant here. =P

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Thanks @Pranjal Jain and @Azhaghu Roopesh M .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

You are welcome :)

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I plan on studying CS since I just love Coding ! For me , I took IP since it gave me a chance to learn Java and MySQL .

Actually my coaching centre doesn't give me any advice , actually they lack the sources to do do so . I'm sure that they'll get out of business soon , it was a waste going there . Actually Pranjal will be able to guide you more since he goes to Resonance , the best place ever :)

- 3 years, 3 months ago

At last the Board Exams are over . Now I can do what I like to do , i.e. study all the extra things that I want to and in doing so , prepare for JEE !

Today was my IP paper , it was really a walk in the park ! Btw I'm expecting $$69/70$$ or $$1$$ :P , it's for the examiner to decide .

How did your exams go ?

P.S. @Vraj Mehta I know that you rocked as well as was evident from your finishing the paper about half an hour before me !

- 3 years, 3 months ago

c++ paper was good

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Great! How much are you expecting ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Well my paper was pretty cool.. (p.s. just talked to you regarding it) ... now its gonna be just JEE.... so whats your schdule currently??

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Just back . Nice to hear that :)

Btw , my schedule is an erratic one . I don't know when I'll sleep or when I wake up . One thing's for sure is that every morning from 8 am to 11 am , I have JEE Mains practice test at my coaching centre . When I'm back , I'll just try to revise all the topics that I had problems with , in the test . Then I'll follow it up with a revision of some random chapter , and I also have to solve the Reso Question papers that I told you abt .

I guess that's it !

But priority-wise my revision chapters are:

• P Block

• Sound

• Fluid Mechanics

• Spending some time on Talent Buddy and Code Academy !

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I am not good in I.P. it's concepts are hard to grasp, can't say maybe above 60.

Still can't understand what is the meaning of classes, objects, methods in Java :p

# I Hate IP

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Everybody has varied interests @Ronak Agarwal . But allow me to try to get you interested in CS:

Class: They are the definition of a virtual representation of a real world entity. It is like a set of rules which say how the this representation is to be made, what it's behavior is, etc. eg: Blueprint for remote control car

Methods: The way the representation behaves and/or interacts with other representations or programs is defined inside the methods(functions). eg: The behavior of the car(lights, moving forwards, turning, also includes changing batteries). large part of it made possible through an interface that connects it to the user(remote control).

Object: This is a virtual representation which is now fully created according to the rules specified and behaves in accordance to the given rules. eg: Fully built remote control car

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I am not forcing anyone to change their interests, I am just yelling out my dislike for the subject.

Also can you please explain these concepts in a simpler language, I really want to like this subject but can't.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Okay, consider this:

We want to model some real life things in a program. When I say real life things, take for example a block of wood. How will we do this? One obvious way is to make functions that are related to each property of the block(like one to fix mass, size, colour, type of wood, etc) and run them all together. But this is a difficult task, I don't even think you can do this.

Classes are the answer to such problems. They are the implementation of a programming paradigm called Object oriented programming. By programming paradigm, we mean our approach to programming and problem solving. To put it in simpler words, coordinate bashing is a problem solving paradigm in mathematical Olympiads and so is using pure geometry. Object oriented programming is a tactic used to model the real world by thinking of it as a collection of interrelated objects which behave in certain manners. The object is the central concept here.

Take our block of wood. Using classes, we will define a class called "Blockwood" which will enable us to wrap up all the properties of this block into a single entity. In the class, we will define the characteristics of the block, like colour, size, shape, mass, etc. But that itself doesn't make it a good model of a block of wood. We also need to specify how this block will interact with other parts of the program. This is done by using methods(functions). The functions define how the class object will behave in situations. For example, a function reflectlight() can be defined which returns 1 if light falls on the block(you will understand this as we continue).

Now that we have our class, we can define an object of this class "Blockwood". Let this object be named BW. The program recognizes BW as an entity, much like how we recognize a block of wood. You can only interact with BW in the program through ways that are allowed by the methods. Much like in the real world, where we cannot simply transform wood into gold or put our hands through it. The object interacts only in the way it is supposed to.

Observe now that once we have such an object BW, we need not be worried about it's inner workings and methods. The user of the program is unaware of all the complicated code and is instead just presented with an object which he/she can work with and is familiar with.

Also, having one class is no fun. It's when multiple classes come that the real story begins. What if we define a class called "Rock"? We define all the properties of rock. The interesting part now is that we can create a relationship between Rock and Blockwood. As Blockwood is already defined, we can add methods to Blockwood which can model real world relationships with Rock and vice-versa. For example, a function "makesound()" which returns 1 if a rock and a block of wood are struck together. Now we have two interrelated classes, which can be used to make objects which interact with one another, similar to the way they do in the real world.

What's above is just an amateur's take on the use and importance of classes. The true power of classes is much more profound, but understanding this is the first step. Hope it helps @Ronak Agarwal

- 3 years, 3 months ago

That's a really great job done to help a friend in need..

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Do you like coding ? If so , ignore these technical definitions for now , you'll be able to understand them later as you progress as a coder.

This worked for me , earlier I used to memorise these definitions , but I soon got tired of them . So I ignored them and started practicing coding (here on B'ant and some other sites) and later on when I came back to those definitions , I understood them quite clearly !

Good Luck to you :)

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I love coding, constructing algorithms for solving problems that can't be done by hand.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Have you ever used Classes and objects other than for solving questions ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Never.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Hmm , then it is just possible that you may not be able to understand the diverse use and implementation of Classes , but anyway please first read Raghav's comment above , I think he made it very clear for you .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Good morning bro!! try my new problem this

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Btw are you able to solve the quantitative finance ques which calvin sir post? I m not able to understand those terms .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Earlier in Jan and Feb , I had a lot of time to look those terms up on the I'net and solve them , but now I too have left them . After JEE Mains , I'll start with QF once again .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Yeah , Good Morning :)

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Nice explanation , though I believe he was just messing with me :D

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I know. I was trying to see if I could still remember it XD Why are there no wikis for computer science?? I really want to contribute.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Why don't you start writing one after JEE Mains ? Agnishom has written up quite a lot of them , I am planning to write on on Java and was thinking on sharing a wiki with Vraj .

Go for it !

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Yup, will do. And I've sent you a mail.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

And I have replied :P

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Okay, i'll reply as soon as possible, stuck with a problem here.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Yeah sure , no hurry really . Actually I have to go out now , I'll read your reply later . Bye

- 3 years, 3 months ago

It's strange to hear it from the guy who tops in every other subject . But no worries , you'll get great marks in Physics, Chem, Maths and $$\huge {ENGLISH}$$ to make up for it , right ? :P

How did you fare in your practicals though ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

@Azhaghu Roopesh M I had CS, and it was quite easy. If all goes well, hope I get full marks! That's it fellows, 12 years of school is now officially over. This is bittersweet.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Well , actually I finished my paper around an hour ago and was solving a B'ant question . It was then it struck me that there would be no more exams(I kinda love the school exams !) , I wouldn't be able to see my "Bio" friends and then I got a bit sentimental , I guess it wasn't sweet for me .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I already went through this in after class 10 when I had to switch schools for JEE entrance coaching. Don't worry bro, it's all a part of life I guess. And your friends will still be there, you may not see them as often, but that doesn't mean you can't talk to them.

By the way, what subjects did you take in class 12??

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Yeah , I forced them all to make a G+ account today itself!

Btw , my subjects were : P , C , M , E , IP .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Good. Actually I thought you took Bio too.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I would most certainly have taken it if there was a choice like C,M,B,E and IP (I don't like Phy, you see) .

But since I didn't want to leave Maths and I didn't want to waste my memory on learning those typical Bio stuff , so I passed on it .

You didn't take PCMB right ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

I just wrote computer science... what do you think?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Oops! Foolish of me . Btw where did you learn all your physics knowledge from ? Pls don't say NCERT !

If you want , you can mail me , since anyway this note has started to lag and everyone must have forgotten abt this note too .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Do you notice that where streak is written on the top of page "nope " is also written.Like mine is "8day streak nope". what does it mean? And also i have posted all parts to that spring problem.Check it out pls.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Check this and this out .

Subscribe to those feeds , Calvin sir will soon respond there , you'll find it out then :)

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Mine was 'ok'

- 3 years, 3 months ago

By ok , do you mean 69.5 ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

yes the paper was very easy.................paper went well.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

What was yours ? IP or CS ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

IP

- 3 years, 3 months ago

How much are you expecting ? 70 ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

No. Expecting above 68..... or 67 maybe....

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Ok ,but I hope that practicals will definitely save us :)

- 3 years, 3 months ago

oh yes.....btw every student get above 25 in practicals.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Well , that's great news !

- 3 years, 3 months ago

What's the difference between IP and CS??

- 3 years, 3 months ago

In IP(Informatics Practices) the things that we learn are :

• Java

• MySQL

• HTML , XML

And CS(Computer Science) includes

• C++

• A Database Management software (maybe MySQL only)

• Boolean

This is as far I can say about CS since I am an IP student myself . I'll ask my friends about it .

@Pranjal Jain ,@Raghav Vaidyanathan : Am I correct about the CS Topics ?

@Ritu Roy - Are you really 16 years old ? I'm asking this because a girl of your exact same name was in my class when I was 9 years old .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Oh yes, I am. Studying in grade 10 at ISB in Bahrain. I've been living on this beautiful island for almost 10 years. I had not added my middle name 'Ann' here. Everywhere else, I am known by my full name.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Nice , I'll add Bahrain to my "Places To Visit " list .

And yeah , sorry I was just confused seeing that you having the same name as her . It doesn't really matter but she was a Christian , are you one ?(I'm guessing you are , from your middle name) .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

You guessed it right. . Its good to hear that you have interest in Bahrain. The whole of Bahrain can be toured in about 1 week. (Its a small country.) But the hospitality and public services here are amazing.

As Gautam asks, What are the places in you list till now?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

@Ritu Roy , @Gautam Sharma

First of all it's that I've never actually travelled a lot so I do have a lot of places to visit but I 've thoroughly searched and marked out a few specific places which I'll visit when I've time ^_^

The list is as follows :

• Arizona(specifically I want to visit the Grand Canyon and the Colorado River : Michael sir suggested it )

• Singapore (Omkar suggested it to me)

• Paris (The city of Love :P , it's just that I know French and I would very much like to put it to test )

• Munich (Hail Bayern Munich !)

• Washington D.C. (to visit The National Library of Congress )

• and the list goes on $$\dots$$

- 3 years, 3 months ago

What are the places in you list till now?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Yep the contents are right for CS.

And yeah for further distinguishing:

Computer Science is the study of engineering and principles involved in the engineering, design, development, integration and testing of computer systems at all levels. This includes applied areas of Math and Science, Materials Engineering, Electrical and Electronics theory and Engineering, and Programming fundamentals.

Information Practice is

1. To understand the application development environment.

2. To gain programming Skills in GUI Programming Tool and Database Creation in RDBMS.

3. To design, program and develop database application using GUI Programming Tool and RDBMS.

4. To learn database connectivity using Visual Basic as Front-end tool.

5. To develop ability to use the Open Source Technology.

Thanks @Harshvardhan Mehta and @Azhaghu Roopesh M .

How are they different from the career point? CS gets you engg, what about IP? I am so sorry for asking basic questions. In my school there is IP only for commerce students.

All the best.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Thanks :) No problem , asking doubts is not really an issue ;)

Actually there's no big difference since we aren't going to get jobs based on our experience from CS or IP . All that matters based on the subject we learn at colleges .

I see that you are also in CBSE . How's the CBSE there at your place ?

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Oh, Okay. Thanks.

All the 'indian' schools here follow CBSE curriculum. Well, its not different compared to India. But here we have to learn hindi as our second lang till 8th(compulsory). That's one thing i love. In such schools, you also have arab, nepali and a few srilankans as your classmates besides students from all over india. Sad (very sad) part is that we cant participate in ntse, olympiads and so on. You also get to compete and be friends with filipino, british, american, arab students etc as competitors in interschool events. Teachers in india are far better in india, i believe (generally).

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Lol . Did you come up with that description ? Then it's pretty nicely done .

Btw , currently IP includes Java Netbeans as the Front End , not VB .

- 3 years, 3 months ago

ohh yeah missed it.. btw it aint originally mine had come across it quite some time ago. so just put that up.

- 3 years, 3 months ago

Ok

I don't know how to put it but I kind of flunked in today's test :( due to some health problems .

How did you guys fare ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Wow, are you alright now? What happened?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I had high fever yesterday(even right now) and I had a severe stomach ache during the exams . I somewhat struggled just to finish the paper and made some silly mistakes due to that .

How did you fare in today's test ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Okay.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

What are you studying right now ? And when's your PE exam ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I thought you were cruising through the exam...

When i saw you once in between, you were sitting very calmly,i thought you must have finished your paper..

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Dude, stomach ache by itself is difficult to bear , and on top of that the Power cut and the soaring temperatures! I must have been trying to control the pain , when you had seen me .

I bet you were cruising through the paper , you even took a supplementary !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Hey don't worry about it man. What's done is done. I'm pretty sure you gave your best. Hope you are feeling much better now. Ready to kill your next exam. :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thanks :)

I'm not in much pain right now , since I had slept for 2 hours . Btw , my next exam is IP(Informatics Practices) which is quite easy , so yes , I am ready to kill it !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Good to know that you are fine now. Computer science. 27th. enough time. Must do JEE in the break I guess. When is yours?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Same date . Btw I'm revising Class 11 Topics right now , since Class 12 revision is over (due to Boards) .

Also , can you give me your email id ? Then I'll send you a hand shake mail . You are among the few with whom I am not in touch with .

Thanks

I am expecting at least 99/100. It was too easy but lengthy.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Why no 100? :P

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Hmm at least 99 , good for you . I wish I could say the same too .

Btw what's your next exam ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Information Practices(I.P), I have to revise whole lot of MySql commands and JAVA theortical definitions.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Can you please tell what is the answer for: Find minimum value of OA+OB if they are the intercepts made by the tangent to the circle $$x^{2} + y^{2} = 4$$

Same here , but I have to read the 1st 2 chapters and the Last chapters . You know, the boring theoretical stuff !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I hate that theortical stuff.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I agree :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

How was everyones PHYSICS paper guys??

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Hey can anyone suggest important topics and derivations for Whole Magnetism, AC and Electromagnetic Induction?? for boards point of view..

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Only yesterday did I look up previous Y asked CBSE Boards questions for those topics , all the derivations were quite easy and are in fact proved in the NCERT TB itself !

Also regarding the BITSAT exam , I have chosen May 27 and the afternoon time slot . Centre Vadodara

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Regarding the set that you've shared here on Brilliant , there's no objection for sharing the problems of others that you like . Think of it in this way : You are actually helping in making a question get popular , now which question maker wouldn't want his question getting popular ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Are you in Class XI or XII ?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

going to be promoted to Class XII this 16th if everything goes well

Staff - 3 years, 4 months ago

Even I too had this feeling last year !!

Quite a few 16 year olds were in Class 12 , so I thought maybe you were too .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Haha! I am not worried that I won't get promoted. I was just kidding.

All the best for your boards!

Staff - 3 years, 4 months ago

Haha , thanks . Actually the situation in my school last year was such that I had to think so .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I am feeling left out :( No one commented about papers of class XI

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Finally all science papers over!! Just vocational to go!

Electrical Maintainance.... 2 papers. Btw is C++ similar to Java? I had Java in 10th so I asked

- 3 years, 4 months ago

They are two different programming languages . Java is both a application developing software and a platform to build projects while C++ is just a prog. language .

They are similar in some aspects that both can be connected to databases for some extensive programming.

P.S. I have studied both , so I am saying this . C++ is boring to work in since you just have to see a black screen forever , but JAVA's IDEs are built for OOP Programming and RAD processes ,so it's a great experience .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I see. I used to do Java on BlueJ.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Oh , I had never heard of BlueJ . I have used Netbeans and Eclipse IDE till now .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Net beans java is good.Visuals are good.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

it is somewhat similar bt java has more inbuilt functions than c++

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Ok

HELP NEEDED !!

Can anyone please provide a nice solution with diagram if needed to 'NCERT Class 12 chapter4-magnetism and matter' additional exercise question no. 5.18 and 5.19 .

if possible ; to save your time, you may take a pic of the solution from your notebook and post here.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Q 5.19

This one's too simple really , not that the previous one wasn't . Let me just give you some hints , I think that's enough to solve the question . If you still don't get it , feel free to reply :)

Let's take the Magnetic Magnetic Field produced by the Cable as $$B_{C}$$

When calculating the Resultant field above the cable , $$B_{C}$$ acts in the same direction as $$B_{H}$$ and for Resultant Magnetic Field below the cable , it acts in a direction opp. to $$B_{H}$$ .

Now what follows is just some calculations and stuff , I hope that I've made myself clear !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Ans to Q 5.18 :

Let's assume that a neutral point lies at a distance d from the long straight horizontal cable carrying a current of 2.5 A . Let the horizontal field of Earth be denoted by $$B_{H}$$ .

$\therefore \dfrac{\mu_{0}I}{2\pi d} = B_{H} \\ d(cm) = 1.5 \quad \text{we get this after we input the values that we have}$

Now the condition of neutral point (as given in the question ) is satisfied by the point which lies above the long straight ...... cable . But there can be many such points , therefore the locus is a straight line .

The answer : There exists a line of neutral points above the cable at a distance of 1.5 cm .

Bonne chance !!!

Bien sur, vous allez reussir avec des bonne notes !!!

Wuand vous revenez de vos examens , se il vous plait me dire tout ca , je suis curieux de savoir a ce sujet !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Haha! I logged on to de-stress. The paper was easy. Full marks in Comprehension, Writing (Yay!!) and Lit. But grammar was a heart attack. Lost about 4-5 marks here. Hope for ~85(on 90)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I guess I am lucky that you commented here the moment I logged on too !

Frankly I was waiting for you to comment since I missed your first post ! Nice to hear that your exams went well :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Aw! Thanks. I expected a bit better with the grammar part though! But yeah, as I say : C'est la vie~ Comme ci , comme ca~

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Don't worry , you'll manage it !! What's your exam ?

Also I am quite surprised that you like Bio , seriously your Math is quite good , I have seen your questions .

BUT what about 11thees are they of no use .I will sue u all in supreme court of india (maan haani ka case).LOL.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I'm sure if someone bans you from a message board , you'll bring it down , and I don't want that to happen to this message board , so please feel free to comment !!

Take it lightly dude :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I took it lightly that's why i wrote LOL just chill.Bura na mano holi hai.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Darn! You beat me to be the first one to post a comment here ! Any way , don't worry . Feel free to comment here since in the previous note too , some of my Class 10 friends had commented .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Sorry! Anyway, thanks for the invitation, but I have really no idea of what to comment. Maybe two years later I'll hopefully have something to say!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Maybe after your next exam , if you want to comment here , you will be most welcome :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Just have another friend (other than you) on this site: Samarpit Swain, and he must have reshared it a thousand times by now. Thus all those who follow him must have seen the question by now (that is if they did not get too bored of it).

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Anyways, let me have a look at your problems.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I just want to thank everyone who has attempted the questions. I am truly grateful to all of you, especially @Azhaghu and @Pranjal. Thanks you all so much!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

You've already solved both of them, and have very kindly reshared the Set. Would you still want to see them?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I reshared after solving them. 😝

- 3 years, 4 months ago

OK... Thanks a lot!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

No offence but being a moderator, let me tell you that its not a good idea to ask for reshares. Rather post some good question and mods will make it popular if they'll feel question is nice.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I understand what you're saying and I'll bear it in mind. I'm truly sorry for having asked for it. Azhaghu's bet about a question maker was right in my case. I'm really sorry for having bothered you all.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Haha actually what happened was that her questions didn't get the audience that they deserved !

I bet it's natural for a question maker to make sure everyone views their question , don't you think so ? It's almost similar to that situation in which a question of yours had got 400 pts , and you doubted if your question had an error .

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah I agree but its fine to ask for a view by posting a note rather than asking Calvin Sir to reshare. FYI, almost every problem is viewed by at least one of the mods.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

What Pranjal says is correct too . @Simran Malik

Well , tomorrow I'll ask a friend of mine with to do you a favor . Nice guy , he'll definitely help you out ! but I will just ask him , since I can't force him to !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

That's really very, very kind of you!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

By the way, how's your JEE preparation going? Very well, I hope...

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Aachchaa, if it's not too much trouble, could you please recommend some Physics books for me? Thanks a lot. If I'm bothering you, then I'm really sorry for doing so.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I have got loads of Books adorning my shelves , just confused on which should I recommend !!

The following are the ones that I use :

JEE :

• DC Pandey (the complete series of 5 books)

• Objective Physics by Pramod Agarwal (Vol I AND II) this book contains questions asked in Engineering exams from around India

• I've got the Resonance DLPD Material too : Now this is the one that I'll recommend along with the DC Pandey series

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I think u should also recommend irodov for physics

- 3 years, 4 months ago

@Naman Kapoor and @Azhaghu Roopesh M Thanks a lot for your recommendations and for sparing your valuable time!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I know , I should have but I haven't tried it out yet and there's no way I am recommending something that I haven't myself tried out !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thanks a ton!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I was actually going to describe them a bit , but view them once on your own and decide if you'll be able to handle it. I'm NOT saying that it's difficult , just that too much of anything isn't good !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Very true! OK, I'll see view them first. Your previous recommendations on the Calculus books were very good! I've started on I A Maron's Problems in Calculus in One Variable and have learnt a lot. Thanks so much!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

You are welcome :)

- 3 years, 4 months ago

It's a bit long list , pls wait !!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thanks so much! If it's long then please do it at your convenience. I don't want to trouble you.

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Well, I've got to revise some Class 11 concepts like Rotational motion , Oscillation and waves and stuff . I had just been asking my senior friends like Deepanshu for help regarding such topics , so I guess I just have to put their advise to play !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Thought you'd be best equipped to answer my doubt. I've heard that Rotational Mechanics is really tough. Is it so?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

I find it difficult since I had missed classes both at School and at my Coaching Institute due to ill health . But it is a very interesting topic !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

OK... Is your health fine now?

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Haha , Hopefully yes !

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Hopefully it will remain fine...

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Going to bed now, it's been a long day. Goodnight. Thanks once more for everything!

- 3 years, 4 months ago

Yeah , Goodnight :)
