Some books you may try -

1) Algorithms Unlocked (Cormen)

2)Intro to Algorithms (Cormen)

3) The Algorithm Design Manual (Skiena)

You may also visit this http://www.iarcs.org.in/inoi/online-study-material/

These books are supposed to give insight in algorithms-they take granted that programming is known to the reader. I want something that will strengthen my programming skills first.

@Anurag Bisht I am not exactly an \(authority\) on these matters but you can try for \(ZCO, ZIO\) These are like \(INJSO,INPHO\) and ultimately lead to participation in the IOI ( international Informatics Olympiad.)

Yes IOI is like IJSO,IPhO etc. 6 students from country are chosen.

If you try for some competitive programming ( note these are not like NCO where you just cram concepts) maybe you can make it to IOITC ( the training camp).

As far as I know no one from Chhattisgarh has made it till now.

Thanks for the info. Is there any age criteria for these?

@Anurag Bisht The Zonal Computing Olympiad is open to all school students across the country, from any school board. Any student registered in school upto class \(12\) during the current academic year is eligible. There is no lower age limit for participation.
