Data Structure category?

I just want to ask when will Data Structure category come back? Or if it has been closed forever?

Hi all,

The short answer: we are not sure when it will be back, but are still interested in having more computer science problems. Hence I cannot say that it is gone forever. There is clearly a strong desire among the people who use Brilliant for us to continue offering computer science questions. Hang in there. Peter Taylor Staff · 3 years, 6 months ago

i dont know any language except c++ so i was only able to do the common sense ones Bob Yang · 3 years, 6 months ago

@Bob Yang i hope it comes back with c++ Bob Yang · 3 years, 6 months ago

@Bob Yang Actually, i dont think that programming language is the problem here.. I dont use python, but i still can use other prog language to solve problems, since Brilliant requires a numerical solution, not the source code. Sam Leo · 3 years, 6 months ago

@Sam Leo yes, but some questions have code and asks you what is the output answer and i dont understand python Bob Yang · 3 years, 5 months ago

It's problematic to try to keep it language-neutral IMO; why use Python and not any other language?? Kunal Rmth · 3 years, 6 months ago

@Kunal Rmth What they could do: Each week, develop three problems not based on a certain language (like number-theoretic computational problems, for example); also, develop one problem for each major language (like Python, Java, C++, etc.) Then, allow each user to choose which language to use each week. This would fix the issue without adding too much work. Michael Tang · 3 years, 6 months ago

@Michael Tang nice idea i hope they follow your idea Bob Yang · 3 years, 6 months ago

@Kunal Rmth Python is the easiest to understand. Furthermore, for the problems that require coding, you can do it any language you wish. And in the problems where code is given, it is extremely simple to understand; almost pseudo-code. Ananay Agarwal · 3 years, 6 months ago
