# Equilateral Triangle

In an Equvilateral Triangle, Area:

1. Side S given:$$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\dfrac { \sqrt { 3 } }{ 4 }*{ S }^{ 2 }$$

2. Height H given:$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\dfrac { 1}{ \sqrt { 3 } }*H^ 2$

3. Perimeter P given:$~~~~~~~~\dfrac { 1 }{ 12\sqrt { 3 } } *P^ 2$

4. Circumradius R given:$~~~~~\dfrac { 3 \sqrt3}{ 4 }* { R }^{ 2 }$ :

5. Inradius r given:$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3\sqrt { 3 }* { r }^{ 2 }$

Perimeter:

1. Side S given:$~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~3*S$

2. Height H given: $~~~~~~~~~~~~~2\sqrt {3 }* A$

3. Area A given: $~~~~~~~~~~~~~\dfrac { 6 }{ \sqrt [{\Large 4} ]{ 3 } }* \sqrt { A }$

4. Circumradius R given:$~~~~~~~3\sqrt { 3 }* R$

5. Inradius r given: $~~~~~~~~~~~~6\sqrt { 3 } *r\\~~\$/extract_itex] Note: Altitudes, Medians, and Angle bisectors all coincides, that is only one line represent all three, and in a triangle all three of them are are equal. H above represents each of them. I have written this again with variables that are user friendly. Could not insert in the notes itself. I tried to insert them in the above notes but could not. Note by Niranjan Khanderia 5 years, 5 months ago This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science. When posting on Brilliant: • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused . • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone. • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge. • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events. I think users friendly variables have now been introduced in the notes. The notes are now improved. Thanks.

A triangle with all sides equal in length. All angles are also equal and their value 60 degrees.
