# Finding level in particular topics

With the new version of Brilliant coming in, I am unable to find the "Find your level" option for the topics which I have started following recently. Similar problem persists for the subjects in which I have solved till a certain level but not yet joined. Please guide me.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

Thank you! I would also like to know what I should do if I feel that a solution submitted to a problem (along with its answer) is Incorrect. Can I challenge a solution in any way?

If you are referring to the practice section, you can send me an email.

If you are referring to the problems in the main interface, it would be better to engage the solution writer in a discussion. You can use the report button if necessary.

Some weeks ago, I posted a problem named 'Gwen Stacy to the rescue on brilliant in a set named themed problems for the week. Later on I decided to remove the problem from this set so that it will appear in the 'Problems for you to try' section that appears at the bottom of each problem. Now I cannot find the problem in the search box.

The link for this problem was fortunately saved by me. Please can you recover this problem? It was completely my creation. :)

What is the Brilliant archive? Most of the physics [Electricity and magnetism] problems have this message saying, "This problem is a part of the brilliant archive and is under construction right now". Most of David Mattingly's problems are in this archive [my observation]. Is it that everyone is encountering this problem? If so when will these problems be available for solving?

Hi Pinak – see my response here.

Thank you. I would also like to know why most of the higher rated problems have been converted to problems of 'brilliant square'. Almost all of David Mattingly's problems have been converted when he himself is not a member of 'brilliant squared'. (I checked his profile)

Hi Pinak, there are more details here. David Mattingly is a member of our staff.

(Calvin's edit)

The text of the problem is:

The evil Electro has caught Spidey and has put him in a spherical metallic cage of radius 'R'. Eventually, Electro decides to take some nap after his awesome fight with Spidey. He ties Spidey to a non conducting pole At the center of the metallic cage and dozes off to sleep at some distance 'a' besides Spidey. Spidey with his agility manages to break off from the pole but in order to escape from the cage he must bring the potential of the cage to zero in order to avoid an electric shock. (The spherical metallic cage acquires a potential due to the charge on Electro 'Q')

On the other hand Gwen Stacy tries to help her boyfriend. She borrows a charge accumulator from her scientist friend and tries to bring the cage's potential to zero. For this she needs to know how much charge she must accumulate and where from Spidey should she stand in order to do so.

Can you help this pretty lady rescue her friend?

Details and assumptions

Take $a = \frac{R}{2}$
