Finding the point of intersection between an arithemtic progression function and a geometric progression function

The given arithmetic progression where a= initial value, d= common difference, n= nth term,
tn=a+(n-1)d,
tn=8+(n-1)3.5

The given geometric progression where a=initial value, r=common ratio, n=nth term ,
tn=a*r^n-1,
tn=10 * 1.1^n-1

Hint: Try finding through the use of rearranging, logarithms and the quadratic formula.
