# FTW Round 1 Results

This is the place where I will post the results for the first round of For the Win on Brilliant (Don't know what this is?). The top chart shows a person's time on a question and if they got the question right. Questions where the person got the question right are marked in green and questions where the person got the question wrong are marked in red.

The second chart shows the number of points a participant gets on a question. I will try to update it every day until the time for Round 1 ends. The final chart will show the final results for everyone's time.

When you are inputting your times and if you got the question correct, use a style similar to this. Make sure you say your time AND if you got the question right, because otherwise, I won't be able to enter your score.

Question 1 - 9.279 - Correct

Question 2 - 13.533 - Incorrect

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

Thanks for participating! Your times have been entered.

Do you have more precise times? If not, I'm trying to input times to three decimal places.

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Oh no oops sorry about that. :O

- 6 years, 10 months ago

That's fine. Unfortunately, I have to default you to ending in .X99 then, sorry.

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Default me to ending? What?

- 6 years, 10 months ago

The time ending in .X99. Not you. I made the correction.

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Why don't you make the conversion

$2=1.999$

$3.5=3.499$

like that?

- 6 years, 10 months ago

It's kind of a standard in timed contests. Times that aren't precise enough default to the highest possible time that still meets the bounds of the time given. I doubt it's going to make much of a difference.

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Well if it's 8 questions and you're adding practically 0.01 for each then that adds up. :D

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Oh I see.

These were troll problems ._.

- 6 years, 10 months ago

I agree, usually in the course of ten problems I get one or two of them wrong. I was surprised. But this was a legit round I had, not ten problems that I got right over the course of several games.

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Yeah; usually the rounds have one or two confusing/hard ones, but this round had none...

- 6 years, 10 months ago

Woah you kicked my butt. How did you do #1 so fast?

- 6 years, 10 months ago
