I too had given it last year. Don't know how but quite unexpectedly I ended up doing too many silly mistakes. Got quite nervous. Further I had minimal knowledge of biology. Hope that the same thing doesn't happen this year. Has anyone here qualified in the 2nd try? Please advice me.

ya...its not tough...... but i was not getting a sample type questions for practice........i.e. kind of objective problem sums... but as suggested by nitin s. that the questions are of aieee level....... do u agree Balaji D.

I partly agree with Nitin. The questions are of AIEEE level. So yes Arihant books can be good practise for you but I recommend you read good books for concepts.

And about books I think H.C. Verma and Resnick and Halliday are very good for Physics. Then for Maths I.A. Maron Calculus,S.L.Loney Trigonometry and Coordinate Geometry are very good. First of all I think ICSE,CBSE texts in Maths,Phy,Chem are very good too.

Hi I don't think KVPY is tough. In the objective test they stress on CBSE Classes 11 and 12 concepts. The questions don't require rigorous calculations but application of concepts. They stress on application and aptitude and the willingness to challenge and learn. They want to see your interest in research topics as far as interviews are concerned. Interview can be a bit nervous but stay cool. I am sure you'll do well.

kvpy exam is quite easy to clear for a 12th class student than any 11th class student. As long as the type of problems they ask in KVPY , it is quite similar to AIEEE difficulty level. If you are preparing for AIEEE or IIT-JEE . I think you will have upper hand in this exam. Arihant prakashan books for IIT-JEE will do the job. Read theory from books a lot in order to strengthen your concepts.

HI Nitin, I am in 11 class and is going to give KVPY this year. Will the question paper consist of the topic of class 12 also or only 11 for a 11 class student.
