This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Although @Silas Hundt and @Suyeon Khim , I'd kind of like to know why this accompanied a switch in voting interface. It seems too much like solutions, and the ability to downvote is gone (sometimes you need it). To be honest, I liked the old layout for that thing. But the @ is a cool addition. Something I'd do is make the "In reply to" on one line to avoid confusion between it and the actual message.
I definitely agree with Trevor in that a downvote button is needed. I think it should also be available to downvote a solution as well since many people just state the answer in their solutions and don't provide any explanation regardless of how many times you tell them not to.
I also think there should be some distinguishing feature as there was before between upvoting a solution and upvoting a comment. It is sometimes hard to distinguish the two when scrolling down the page as the only difference is the shade of grey the comment box is.

Agreed!
And the preview button doesn't work for me. All I see is a white box like this:
Hi Sharky. Will you answer my question on anti gravity for the speed of reflection? Please😁 also, is that your real name? It's pretty amazing. @Sharky Kesa
@Robert Fritz Sharky Kesa is not my real name, but rather a nickname or an Internet name. My real name is Sharvil. I have posted an answer to your question by the way.
