I have posted answers of some questions but they are incomplete without figures. I am unable to add diagrams in my answers. Could anybody tell me how to add diagrams in answers?

Does this help?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

1) First create a figure. This seems obvious, but this step is very crucial.

2) Upload the image to an image hosting site. Imgur works best for me.

3) Use this code: ! [Whatever] (direct url to the image). Delete the spaces in between.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the help.

I followed your advice but an icon of an image is being displayed instead of full image. Something like this- Figure

Figure

You have to use the image url instead of the link to the page. Click the 'pencil' icon to see the changes made to your comment.

You can images by using markdown. The syntax

 ![title](image url-link)

will display the image that you linked to.

For example,

 ![Erdos with Terrance Tao](https://i.imgur.com/1Khk7H4.jpg)

will produce

Erdos with Terrance Tao

Note: Make sure you use the image URL link (which often ends with the file extension jpg or png), as opposed to linking to an entire website.
