Paper 1 was really tough !!!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

What were some of the hardest questions that you saw? How did that compare to the problems on Brilliant?

Staff - 3 years, 9 months ago

Sir, the only thing that makes the questions hard is the time constraint. If given enough time, every problem can be solved if one has good concepts.

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Indeed, I agree. JEE puts too much emphasis on speed and the calculative portions.

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Seriously ? Exams like JEE don't require you to solve each and every question but solve around 80% of them correctly. And guys like you I mean you can just complete them given that it is just your day. Still cross your fingers and see what happens. Good luck :)

paper 1 was disaster for me......

- 3 years, 10 months ago

How much are you getting bro?

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Paper 1 was scoring i suppose Most students couldn't get much in P 2 cause of the -ve marking in all the questions. Im getting 105 in P1 and 95 in P2 :/

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Same here P1 tough P2 went good. My physics got left in P1 thats why just approx getting 90. P2 Getting again 92. So I should be about 150-170, dismal scores. Hope to get something decent in any IIT. This year I feel cutoffs may drop drastic. The no negative marking of P1 was made useless by giving a tough paper. Anyone has any ideas what I can get in IITs?

- 3 years, 10 months ago

can i get paper in pdf format , I would love to see it

- 3 years, 10 months ago

yes me too

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Dude, paper 1, atleast i felt it was very tough! paper 2 was alright.

- 3 years, 10 months ago

To be frank, I found Paper-1 was somewhat weird especially Chemistry. Interestingly there wasn't a single sum from physical chemistry in the sense ionic, electro and kinetics.

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Yeah, that's what I felt after giving the paper! it is very wierd !

- 3 years, 10 months ago

The marking scheme was a lot more generous as compared to last year's I feel....

- 3 years, 10 months ago

The last year's marking scheme really sucked! :'(

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Well, check your answers for Paper 1 on Resonance website (right now only they have put the key) and tell me...

- 3 years, 10 months ago

i felt there was no proper distribution of topics in any subject.. like in maths, topics like complex numbers, conic, calculus, were either not there.. or were there in amount untraceable..!! in chemistry, what?? ssly, no physical chem at all?? bt yea, phy, was distributed.!!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

It was lengthy. Questions were subject style. I did a good move by doing integers first and then attempting multiple option one. I feel this years cut-off may drop for counselling by at least 20-30 marks. What do you think?

- 3 years, 10 months ago

@Anish Puthuraya , @Avineil Jain , @Karthik Kannan , @jatin yadav , @Sudeep Salgia , @Siddharth Iyer , anyone else who wrote JEE Advanced, please comment!!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Paper 2 Maths was damn tough.....Physics was really easy!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

No dude paper 2 maths was quite good. Lots of questions from combinatorics probability and complex numbers

- 3 years, 10 months ago

exactly, maths paper was not very tough in paper 2, but i felt paper 1 was a bit lengthy!!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Not only math, Chem was also quite easy in P 2.

- 3 years, 10 months ago

BTW congrats for getting an AIR of $$115$$ in WBJEEM. What's your rank in Engineering ?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Thanks!

Hey! That's my rank in Engg. only. I didn't appear for medical.

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Ohhh. I interpreted it the either way. And I am currently doing B.Tech(ME) as you can see from my profile here.

- 3 years, 9 months ago

How much are you getting in all? (at least approx. value). [This question is for all of you here]

- 3 years, 10 months ago

I havent checked the second paper..But, in Paper 1, Im getting around 110..yours?

- 3 years, 10 months ago

What is your total score in P1+P2 now?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

196

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Hey anish r u attending the adventures of the mind camp

- 3 years, 9 months ago

no

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Your score decreased! But why? I mean after the official key released my score increased to 212 from 203!

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Yeah! Mine too. My score now is 214! Mine increased due to some questions with two answers separated by an OR. And yours?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Chemistry paper 1, I got 2 answers right which earlier I thought were wrong!

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Great! I've got 93 in P 1 and 112 in P 2. From which site did you check? (Don't forget to tell your score in P 2)

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Is papr 1 in pdf available??

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Yeah. At www.fiitjee.com along with solutions!

- 3 years, 9 months ago

128 in paper 1 n paper 2 132 as per resonance's key n I am doubtful as I am expecting that my marks will decrease...waiting for Narayana's key to confirm.

- 3 years, 10 months ago

sorry to say man...but you cant get 128 in paper one .it must be a multiple of 3...!!!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

You're right man!

- 3 years, 10 months ago

i'm lyk 200(p1+p2)... Got chopped badly in chem.. physics was awesome.. around 3-4 mistakes. Maths was also just fyn...

- 3 years, 10 months ago

What's your score now after checking with the official key?

And congrats for 157

- 3 years, 9 months ago

BTW congrats for getting an AIR of $$157$$ in WBJEEM. What's your rank in Engineering ?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Hey, thanks :) Btw my rank in engineering is 71 in wbjeem.. Might be pharmacy in which i got 157... and in iit adv score is 200 :( Nyways i'm planning for eng physics at iit delhi or guwahati(if i'm lucky) or else electronics and electrical at bits pilani.. What r u al planning for?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Well that's nice. I am into my 2nd year B.Tech(ME).

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Nice, u doing from jadavpur univ.? which stream did yoou chose?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Mechanical Engineering(ME).

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Is there any option of EP in Javapur?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

EP ??? What ?

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Engineering Physics..

- 3 years, 9 months ago

Sorry. You don't have these advanced courses in most universities in WB.

@Anish Puthuraya @Avineil Jain @jatin yadav @Karthik Kannan @Sudeep Salgia and @Siddharth Iyer ,What were the topics covered in paper1 and paper2? How was it different from jee mains?

- 3 years, 10 months ago

Give some tips for jee advanced I am in 12 ryt now

- 3 years, 9 months ago

just be focused for your aim.....that's it

- 2 years, 10 months ago

dont know wat to do getting only 81 (p1 +p2)

is it better to drop a year and go to kota

- 3 years, 9 months ago

JEE not only needs brain but luck, dont take a drop un-needed. Just take whatever college even good local college. Within maybe 1-2 years you will get to the level of IIT guys in terms of job and all. Or proceed to give GATE and Mtech from IIT.

- 3 years, 9 months ago
