Just wanted to say....

I know that brilliant is not about competing, it is more about learning and helping others to learn. But it would be so amazing to have something like a world cup or a competition between countries on brilliant. I would love if this happens.

But obviously it is not possible due to many reasons.

Note: I am just sharing my feelings in this note.

FYI Brilliant hosted a Live Challenge in 2012. As told, the winner was @Russell Few. The results were posted here. There was another programming contest hosted namely Hunger Games. The there was another competition held for Brazilian students.

Not only this, I remember, in January 2013, Brilliant Math Challenge Master @Calvin Lin did a special video conference, not exactly sure about what it was because unfortunately, I couldn't join that conference as it was exclusively for Level 5 members (I was only at Level 3 at that time). This also reminds me that Brilliant used to exchange points for various gifts. The gifts included a T-Shirt (50,000 points), A Lanyard (600 points), and various books like FlatLand : A romance of many dimensions (10,000 points), Mathematical Puzzles (25,000 points) and many others.

Wow! I'd a nice time recalling those past memories. Kishlaya Jaiswal · 2 years, 1 month ago

@Azhaghu Roopesh M Yep, even I wish if I had joined Brilliant just a few days ago.

If I'd joined a few months ago, I would have the opportunity to participate in that Live Challenge and if I'd joined just a few days ago, I would have the opportunity to attend the Sir @Calvin Lin's Conference and even get one of those awesome Brilliant T-Shirts. @Azhaghu Roopesh M Yes, and we will surely attain a good position in this because geniuses like Satvik Golechha and Agnishom Chattopadhyay would be on our side Archit Boobna · 2 years, 1 month ago

@Archit Boobna Ok , so you were seriously referring to a World Cup as in countries VS countries ? Lol ! Idk if that's possible , but in that case we might win .

I'm using might since people like the Annihilator and Mr. Mathopedia will be contesting from the USA along with other people like Daniel , Brock and from the Canada , we have Mathking and Steven Zheng .

Dude , the competition is sure tough ! Azhaghu Roopesh M · 2 years, 1 month ago

If you're interested in getting up for competitions, then I would suggest you to learn from Brilliant and perform in the competitions like RMO, INMO, IMO, JEE and there are many other tough and competitive events that you can take part in. And then you can share your experiences here on Brilliant.
