The Logic skill requires you to reason deductively, using a given set of information to determine the correct conclusion. Connect the "If-Then" statements to check the validity of a conclusion. You should be familiar with Sets.

The union of sets \(A\) and \(B\) is the set \(C\). Which of the following statements must be true?

A) If \(1\) is in \(A\), then \(1\) is in \(B\).
B) If \(2\) is in \(B\), then \(2\) is in \(A\).
C) If \(3\) is in \(C\), then \(3\) is in \(A\).
D) If \(4\) is in \(C\), then \(4\) is in \(B\).
E) If \(5\) is in \(A\), then \(5\) is in \(C\).

Solution: The only true statement is E. If \(5\) is in \(A\), and since \(C\) is the union of \(A\) and \(B\), hence \(5\) is in \(C\).
