# Logic

The Logic skill requires you to reason deductively, using a given set of information to determine the correct conclusion. Connect the "If-Then" statements to check the validity of a conclusion. You should be familiar with Sets.

The union of sets $$A$$ and $$B$$ is the set $$C$$. Which of the following statements must be true?

A) If $$1$$ is in $$A$$, then $$1$$ is in $$B$$.
B) If $$2$$ is in $$B$$, then $$2$$ is in $$A$$.
C) If $$3$$ is in $$C$$, then $$3$$ is in $$A$$.
D) If $$4$$ is in $$C$$, then $$4$$ is in $$B$$.
E) If $$5$$ is in $$A$$, then $$5$$ is in $$C$$.

Solution: The only true statement is E. If $$5$$ is in $$A$$, and since $$C$$ is the union of $$A$$ and $$B$$, hence $$5$$ is in $$C$$.
