# Map of the earth at night that you can pan and zoom on

I have seen many pictures from space of the earth at night before. This is the first one I have seen where you can scroll around and zoom in on things. I thought you all might like it.

the crazy things to me were:

The lights in west Australia are mostly wild fires. The border between north korea and south korea is really chilling. most of the lights in Alberta, Canada and the Dakotas in the USA are not people but oil rigs. Look at Prudhoe bay Alaska as well.

It is amazing both how much of the world humans cover, but I am also amazed by how much of land is dark on earth.
