Master Sessions

Well,Brilliant has been REALLY enjoyable experience.I had learnt combinatorics all by myself with the help of some books,no live teacher helped me,only their writings did. Brilliant is the place where I get assured that I am not learning anything wrong. I just now solved a 300point problem and am SOO happy. So I'm going to soon have 6000 points and I'd love to opt for a Master Session but I don't have a cam.And I won't get one before March..So i was wondering whether I could attend a master session or not...

You do not need a cam to attend the session. Your cam and audio input is to ensure that I get sufficient feedback from you, and to allow you to participate in discussions amongst the other students. Without a cam, you have to be more vocal (or active typer) to let me know that there is a certain statement that you're not understanding. Since the Master Session builds up on material quite quickly, if you do not follow the concepts, you will likely get lost 10 minutes later.

Having a cam and mic will be preferred, as it allows me to obtain quick feedback from each student.

Text input will be possible, but it would likely be extremely slow (depends on your typing speed, especially for solutions), and you might be unable to participate in student discussions. You must also be active in giving me feedback about the session, especially if you are not understanding a particular part.

I'm constantly asking "Yes/No" questions, to judge understanding. Students with cam give me a simple thumbs up / thumbs down, students with a mic say "yes / no" , while students without either will have to type into the chat. If you do not do any of this, then my assumption is that you're not paying attention to the lesson.

I would also prefer to only use text input.

If we prefer to not use cam or audio for the master sessions, may we choose to use text input?
