# Math Channel

Hello everyone! From the past 2-3 weeks, I decided to utilize my time in sharing my little drop of knowledge from the ocean of mathematics to others via a YouTube channel. The channel is all about visual mathematics, mainly geometry which is animated beautifully such that anyone can understand it's solution. The videos are typical of 5 minutes and you will definitely enjoy it. But, I need your help with a few things:

• From my videos, please give feedback about it, whether you loved it or not, please be frank.
• Request a mathematical fact or a problem that you want should be shared immensely to everyone and I will definitely attempt to do that. Maths should be shared, it's elegance and it's beauty
• And lastly, if you like the videos, please support by subscribing or sharing with those who need it.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

🤩 Thank you @Pi Han Goh!!!!!!

Just continue doing what you are up to. Don't let your passion attenuate! I am just not sure if you are allowed to use Brilliant content outside (copy rights). Anyway, if they have problems with that they will let you know for sure.

- 2 days, 12 hours ago

Thank you very much Maria, your point of copyright is valid, but I am taking the problem and sourcing it in the description, and the solution is mine only so I don't think there will be any issues. Thanks for pointing it out though, I will look further

- 2 days, 7 hours ago

I love the channel, thanks for sharing! I have a math blog at http://lostmathlessons.blogspot.com/ if you are interested in some more math topics. (I haven't been blogging as much as I used to, though.)

- 2 days, 18 hours ago

Thank you so so much @David Vreken, I will surely check out the blogs in detail though I found the bouncing DVD one interesting, just like the bouncing ball on pool table. Thank you for sharing!!!

Thanks Vinayak!!

- 2 days, 7 hours ago

Yep, i checked it out. everything is perfect from explanation to animation. especially the music force you to ponder.(3b1b). keep up the good work. all the best.

- 2 days, 13 hours ago

Thank you Vikram, music played a bit of special role in it

- 2 days, 7 hours ago

@Mahdi Raza, Thank you for sharing this valuable information with us. I will watch and leave a feedback while watching the videos.

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

Thank you @Hana Wehbi!

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

Nice work, but the slow print is annoying a bit. I'm definitely looking for some good math problem. I will upload these and mention you in it. Is that okay?

- 2 days, 10 hours ago

I can't mention you. I don't know why.

- 2 days, 9 hours ago

Sure, Thanks!

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

Hi Mahdi.

I've always liked your animations and have subscribed. Would love to see some original content -- new puzzles and problems. I don't have anything for you but maybe you do, or maybe you can find someone on brilliant.org who you can work with. All the best and good luck with your venture.

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

Hi Stefan, thank you for that. I was also thinking of some original problems which I can share, but I don't have another good math resource. I was maybe thinking about more of proving theorems, that would help in problem-solving. Nonetheless, thank you so much!!

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

If you're interested in proofs, the geometric proof of why there are only five platonic solids could suit your animation style.

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

Ohh right, but I think numberphile has an awesome video. Thanks for that though!

- 2 days, 6 hours ago

I'm a big fan of numberphile but I don't think I've seen that one. The trouble is that, unless you come up with an original piece of mathematical research, that someone else will probably have got there first. You still have options, though.

You can look at what others have posted and see if you think you can provide a fresh take that is different to theirs. Or you can look for something less common that is unlikely to have been posted by anyone else. Or you can just accept that there are going to be multiple similar takes on common proofs and add yours to the collection. As long as you try to be different and don't copy others, you won't upset anyone (who am I kidding, this is the internet: whatever you do you will upset someone 😁).

You have written some problems yourself in Brilliant, why not start from there? It is better and much easier than starting from scratch. I suggest you start from your Spiraling Triangles!?! question first.

@Mahdi Raza Great work, Thank you for the contributions to the community.

Thank you so much Hamza!!

- 2 days, 7 hours ago

To all present, I hereby knight @Mahdi Raza 'the Buddha of the Brilliant community of mathematics'.

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

@Yajat Shamji and @Hamza Anushath stop it, please!

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

Hahaha It's finished Just a small mistake made by me I should have thought first Anyway, thanks for trying to stop that $($ $whatever$ $that$ $was$ $)$

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

What - I personally think that @Mahdi Raza should get the knighting. Or is it something else? @Páll Márton

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

He meant about our quarrel, or rather, the small misunderstanding between us

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

Ok. Also, can everybody stop replying to me - I am leaving today - I beg everybody in this thread not to reply to me until Sunday 24th May, 10 or 11am - just please!

- 2 days, 2 hours ago

Alright

Most Sorry

I have to take a break too

Bye!

- 2 days, 2 hours ago

@Mahdi Raza, for your YouTube channel, if you want, you can make a video based on the value of $0^0$. Is it equivalent to 1 or 0?

(I will not mention the answer here; I will see what answer you give in the video, if you were to use my idea.

It will be an interesting subject indeed...

Morning, @Hamza Anushath! A video about $0^0$ will be great!

- 1 day, 8 hours ago

Contemplating $0^0$

🤔🤭😶🤯

- 1 day, 7 hours ago

LaTeX on the $0^0$, please.

- 1 day, 7 hours ago

Just 0^0 inside LaTeX brackets. Or have I misunderstood?

- 1 day, 7 hours ago

Yes, just 0^0 inside LaTeX brackets.

- 1 day, 7 hours ago

I remember hearing that it is undefined. Am I wrong?

- 1 day, 7 hours ago

It is either 0 or 1. I want to see what @Mahdi Raza thinks the answer is...

- 1 day, 6 hours ago

@Vinayak Srivastava, @Hamza Anushath, I watched the BRILLIANT video on Youtube about this topic - it is either $1, 0$ or undefined - it depends on your point of view or what field of mathematics you are using $0^0$ in.

- 1 day, 5 hours ago

Yes, I guess mathematicians use it according to their needs.

But mostly it is considered indeterminant.

- 1 day, 5 hours ago

And if you can, also try to prove the value of $0^0$ by diverging to it

- 1 day, 5 hours ago

Amazing

- 1 day, 5 hours ago

I shouldn't be using this blog as an advertising board, but if anyone could, would they be kind enough to try this question. Thanks in advance.

The reason I am asking this is because I want a fast and interesting method of answering the question, and a unique explanation too.

- 1 day, 5 hours ago

I got this wrong, so don't ask me.

- 1 day, 5 hours ago

@Mahdi Raza Subscribed! Nice work! Keep it up!!!

@Mahdi Raza, after much thinking, I have decided that my expression of gratitude cannot be expressed in words for all the times you have appeared in my problems or problems and discussions where I contribute, therefore, my expression of gratitude is:

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🌠🤩👑🏆

Thank you so much for all of the contributions and corrections you have brought into my Brilliant account - you are akin to a history-making mathematical hyperstar with glowing efflugence like God and blessed with intellect similar to Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge. I hereby nickname you 'the Buddha of the Brilliant community of mathematics'!

- 2 days, 4 hours ago

Thank you, but I am not so great as you imagine. Please don't compare me to the great mathematicians. I am just a mere contributor to Brilliant, trying my best. There are many many many many many many other people who deserve far better than me. Thanks!

- 2 days, 4 hours ago

Don't worry - the whole comment is based and aimed at the Brilliant community, not the entire community of Mathematics. I am saying that, in the midst of the Brilliant community, you are the history-making mathematical hyperstar with glowing efflugence like God and blessed with intellect similar to Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge. By the time you read this comment, the nickname will have been changed and I will knight you as that nickname (being serious here!) @Mahdi Raza.

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

He's right, you are gifted by God. And you are making good use of your great gift. Keep it up! You are close to being BRILLIANT legend!

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

I think @Mahdi Raza is a BRILLIANT super-legend, @Hamza Anushath. Hence, my knighting comment.

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

Well... Let's hope he reads this... @Mahdi Raza would be surprised

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

That's true, @Hamza Anushath - @Mahdi Raza will definitely be surprised.

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

Sorry, and not related to this topic, but could anyone help me on how to follow a profile? I am not even sure whether it is a feature or not, but help is accepted!

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

I don't think you can, @Hamza Anushath.

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

Ok, thanks for helping

- 2 days, 3 hours ago

What I do is bookmark my favorite profile pages with my web browser and then periodically check on them.

Oh. Great idea! Thanks!
