# Math Channel

Hello everyone! From the past 2-3 weeks, I decided to utilize my time in sharing my little drop of knowledge from the ocean of mathematics to others via a YouTube channel. The channel is all about visual mathematics, mainly geometry which is animated beautifully such that anyone can understand it's solution. The videos are typical of 5 minutes and you will definitely enjoy it. But, I need your help with a few things:

• From my videos, please give feedback about it, whether you loved it or not, please be frank.
• Request a mathematical fact or a problem that you want should be shared immensely to everyone and I will definitely attempt to do that. Maths should be shared, it's elegance and it's beauty
• And lastly, if you like the videos, please support by subscribing or sharing with those who need it.

Thank you for your reading this. Here is the link to my channel: Mathy Mahdi

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
• Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Just continue doing what you are up to. Don't let your passion attenuate! I am just not sure if you are allowed to use Brilliant content outside (copy rights). Anyway, if they have problems with that they will let you know for sure.

Thank you very much Maria, your point of copyright is valid, but I am taking the problem and sourcing it in the description, and the solution is mine only so I don't think there will be any issues. Thanks for pointing it out though, I will look further

Nice work, but the slow print is annoying a bit. I'm definitely looking for some good math problem. I will upload these and mention you in it. Is that okay?

Hi Mahdi.

I've always liked your animations and have subscribed. Would love to see some original content -- new puzzles and problems. I don't have anything for you but maybe you do, or maybe you can find someone on brilliant.org who you can work with. All the best and good luck with your venture.

- 2 months, 2 weeks ago

Hi Stefan, thank you for that. I was also thinking of some original problems which I can share, but I don't have another good math resource. I was maybe thinking about more of proving theorems, that would help in problem-solving. Nonetheless, thank you so much!!

If you're interested in proofs, the geometric proof of why there are only five platonic solids could suit your animation style.

Ohh right, but I think numberphile has an awesome video. Thanks for that though!

- 2 months, 2 weeks ago

I'm a big fan of numberphile but I don't think I've seen that one. The trouble is that, unless you come up with an original piece of mathematical research, that someone else will probably have got there first. You still have options, though.

You can look at what others have posted and see if you think you can provide a fresh take that is different to theirs. Or you can look for something less common that is unlikely to have been posted by anyone else. Or you can just accept that there are going to be multiple similar takes on common proofs and add yours to the collection. As long as you try to be different and don't copy others, you won't upset anyone (who am I kidding, this is the internet: whatever you do you will upset someone 😁).

Mahdi , can you please tell me how did you know so much in mathematics ? Please share your thoughts and guide me .

- 2 months, 1 week ago

Thank you, but I don't know so much in mathematics, there's a lot to learn yet. But, I was interested in olympiads a lot, for its competition. I partly developed an interest in maths because of that only. I discovered brilliant, joined online olympiad math classes, gave different math olympiads, and was enjoying maths a lot. It's a fascinating subject and thus I learn more and more about it. That is pretty much what I can reflect on why I am developing better in maths. And I still practice a bit every day!

@Mahdi Raza, for your YouTube channel, if you want, you can make a video based on the value of $0^0$. Is it equivalent to 1 or 0?

(I will not mention the answer here; I will see what answer you give in the video, if you were to use my idea.

I remember hearing that it is undefined. Am I wrong?

- 2 months, 2 weeks ago

- 2 months, 2 weeks ago

@Vinayak Srivastava, @Hamza Anushath, I watched the BRILLIANT video on Youtube about this topic - it is either $1, 0$ or undefined - it depends on your point of view or what field of mathematics you are using $0^0$ in.

- 2 months, 2 weeks ago

Yes, I guess mathematicians use it according to their needs.

But mostly it is considered indeterminant.

- 2 months, 2 weeks ago

And if you can, also try to prove the value of $0^0$ by diverging to it

@Mahdi Raza, after much thinking, I have decided that my expression of gratitude cannot be expressed in words for all the times you have appeared in my problems or problems and discussions where I contribute, therefore, my expression of gratitude is:

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🌠🤩👑🏆

Thank you so much for all of the contributions and corrections you have brought into my Brilliant account - you are akin to a history-making mathematical hyperstar with glowing efflugence like God and blessed with intellect similar to Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge. I hereby nickname you 'the Buddha of the Brilliant community of mathematics'!

Thank you, but I am not so great as you imagine. Please don't compare me to the great mathematicians. I am just a mere contributor to Brilliant, trying my best. There are many many many many many many other people who deserve far better than me. Thanks!

Don't worry - the whole comment is based and aimed at the Brilliant community, not the entire community of Mathematics. I am saying that, in the midst of the Brilliant community, you are the history-making mathematical hyperstar with glowing efflugence like God and blessed with intellect similar to Goddess Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge. By the time you read this comment, the nickname will have been changed and I will knight you as that nickname (being serious here!) @Mahdi Raza.
