# Moderating level?

Just a small question, when I took the diagnostic quiz, it set my level at three for the combined Algebra/Trig problems, while I may be a three with regard to algebra, I must be a 0 with regards to Trig. I am truly interested in working these problems out, as much as I am in working on Project Euler problems, but I get very frustrated when 3 of the 5 questions that I receive are Trig questions. A course I did take, but over twenty years ago.

Is there any way that the diagnostics could be parsed a bit closer to skill levels in these areas separately?

Hi Diane,

As of now, the diagnostics do not split between algebra/trig, geometry/combinatorics, etc. We will be experimenting with splitting disciplines apart more, so that people can better push their strengths and weaknesses separately. In a few weeks we will have features that allow you more choice over whether you want more trig vs. algebra etc... Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for posting on this! In the Algebra/Number Theory category, I have the same problem. I have virtually no problem with the number theory problems, but the algebra often blows me away. I'm looking forward to the new system. To all the Brilliant staff, a hearty thank you for your work.
