# National Standard Examinations

Today (24th November 2013) was the date of the National Standard Examinations in Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy and Biology in India. Did any Brilliant members write it (I am sure they did). How was your paper? Discuss the four papers in this thread.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

• Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
• Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
• Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

I gave all of them (except Bio) and I didn't do that well...the cutoff is around 170 per subject out of the total of 240. That's what my teacher told me, according to last years cutoff for Karnataka state.

I am getting 160 in Physics and 203 in chemistry.

Physics and astronomy......Both of them were considerably easy...

I have got 100 in physics 190 in chem what mit be d cutoff for Maharashtra state

Do you think 192/240 will do for qualifying NSEA Jharkhand where there would be 5 selections at maximum? I don't hope to qualify NSEP this year as I couldn't complete the subjective section
