Optics section on brilliant?

Shouldn't there be an optics section on brilliant. Optics is just like any other topic from which a large number of challenging and interesting questions, both theoretical and numerical can be made. In my view it would just boost up brilliant's performance and give it another level

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I think it is fine if optics continue to be under classical mechanics. Should Optics be a topic that no one goes to, it would defeat the purpose and also reduce the popularity of optic questions.

It is on the list of things to do. However, since we have a small team, and have to choose what areas to focus on.

Currently, I do not see problems coming in from the community that indicates they want an optics section.

No matter...! but the site is doing a great deal... of course. And as for the optics section, I believe it would definitely come some day for physics is completely incomplete without it.

@Akul Agrawal The simplest way you can make that come earlier, is to post more Optics problems :)

Ditto for particular sections that you are interested in.

@Calvin Lin Thank You sir

@Calvin Lin But yes... it would be difficult for you and your team to sort out questions of a particular topic as they would be posted under different sections.

@Akul Agrawal That would be a good problem to have. Let us worry about that :)
