Please can anyone tell me the names of some good and basic mechanics and electricity and magnetism books which are available on the internet. Please reply soon.

I wouldn't recommend Purcell to someone who has just started Physics, rest all are nice suggestions. :)

H C Verma, University of Physics, Universal self Scorer, Resnik Halliday, (Strongly Recommend) The feynman Lectures by Richard P Feynman.(Greatest Scientist since EINSTEIN).

Check out S.L. Loney. Its a great book that helped me study Coordinate Geometry for my IIT 2014 preparation. It is good for beginners as well as advanced.
