Scientific Notation

Scientific notation is written in two parts like this \( a \times 10^b \) where:

  • \( 1 \leq a < 10 \)
  • \( b \) is an integer.

For example: to put the number 1234567 in scientific notation, we would write \( 1.234567 \times 10^6 \). Similarly, \( 0.000000901 = 9.01 \times 10^{-7} \).
