This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science

explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments

Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .

Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.

Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.

Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I am a KVPY fellow but I gave my exam in 11th. For KVPY SX the syllabus matches with JEE Advanced but the difficulty level is approx. that of JEE Mains. So if you prepare well for jee advanced KVPY should be a cake walk.

I was asked on nature of light , biomolecules , probability ( very basic ) , co ordination compounds. I dont think you should give too much importance to interview. The rank list is more or less decided by the exam marks. Dont even prepare your resume too much , they just took my resume kept it aside and asked whatever they wanted to ask. And they are bound to ask you about what are your future plans etc. , dont even mention IIT stick with pure sciences.

Well in the previous years question papers I found the Maths section a bit challenging so names of a few books would be of real help.
Thanks for the advice

The maths section is challenging (relatively). JEE Maths should be sufficient.

If you are a maths student then don't leave bio behind. It affects the result. Also study a bit of 12th physics.

Trust me, it's the coolest exam ever! Just trust your basic concepts and keep your mind ready for 'out of the box' thinking.

Actually I did but didn't get any significant results so I was hoping that Brilliant would help answer my queries. Thank you for the advice though.
