Trick for squaring two digit numbers ending with 5:

  1. Multiply the first digit by 1 plus it [ex. 25^2; (2+1)*(2)].
  2. Then put 25 at the end.

So, if the number being squared was 55. You would do: (5+1)*(5) and add a 25 at the end.

So, 55^2 would be 3025.
