# Types of Numbers

Types of numbers:

• Natural Numbers $$\mathbb{N}$$: $$1, 2, 3, 4, \dots$$
• Integers $$\mathbb{Z}$$ - Natural numbers and 0 and negative of natural numbers: $$\ldots -1, 0, 1 \dots$$
• Rational Numbers $$\mathbb{Q}$$ - $$\frac{ m}{n}$$, where $$m$$ and $$n$$ are integers: $$3, \frac{1}{2},$$ etc.
• Real Numbers $$\mathbb{R}$$ - Any number that can appear on the number line: $$-0.123, \frac{98}{7},$$ etc.
• Irrational Numbers - any real number that is not rational: $$\pi, \sqrt{2},$$ etc.
