TopNewestYou are forgetting something. The yolk undergoes chemical reactions to reach that solid state, so you have to take into account the entropy change from breaking some bonds and creating some new ones. I don't claim to have the answer, but when it comes down to such complicated systems, it's not all about random motion.

My guess is that, if you assume that the egg is full, and that its shell is unbreakable, use the 1st law of thermodynamics: dU=TdS-PdV, dV=0 so dU=TdS. Intuitively, U increases as temperature increases. So the change in entropy will be also positive.

bt my doubt..is delta S is degree of randomness of a thing......rite......they say..that as temprature increases the randomness increases bt my do ubt..is on heating the egg yolk solidifies how a particle of egg yolk can perform random motion then.....y it can't b -ve...
