TopNewestWork done is position function, but not path function...for work done by conservative force (eg.gravitational, electrostatic...etc ) .this is not true for non conservative (eg;frictional...etc) for a closed path initial and final position potion of the object coincide so the work done by a conservative force is zero for a closed path
