# Worldwide Online Olympiad Training (WOOT) Program

Hi there!

I found out about WOOT yesterday, and it seems incredible!

Has anyone participated in it before? I am thinking of enrolling for this september, and just wanted to know more about the program.

Thank You!

I think I may have clicked it by accident! My phone froze, and I was quite frustratingly tapping the screen! Is there a way I 'undownvote' it? I don't want to click it again, as this may give another downvote.

WOOT is awesome. Do it.

From the WOOT website:

WOOT is ideal for students preparing for a National Olympiad such as the USA Mathematical Olympiad and the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad. Students who are not capable of consistently scoring 5 or higher on the American Invitational Mathematics Exam should strongly consider waiting until they have more experience before joining WOOT.

Almost every single student who make it to the USA(J)MO is a WOOT student. Almost every single student who makes it to MOP is a WOOT student. Several winners of other math competitions and alumni of programs like RSI are WOOT students. Here are the things, in my humble opinion, that makes WOOT so awesome:

• The instructors and TAs are awesome, active, and very eager to help. You just call out for help and they come at your service. And all the TAs are college students who have done well on math competitions themselves, and some them have even been WOOT alumni, so they know what it is like to be in the students' boots.
• WOOT provides unlimited practice outside of class, including three official problems of the week, several practice AIMEs and practice olympiads at various leels.
• There is not enough evidence to show how much WOOT has helped several people of all ages and grades, not just people who want to prepare for the USAMO or MOP. This includes me, a person who scored a 5 on the AIME and failed at many other math contests to a person who scored an 8 (would have had 10 if I knew how to do arithmetic properly), almost made the JMO, and is doing consistently better at other forms of math. WOOT taught me how to think outside of the box, which is quite rare for a math contest prep program.

I couldn't recommend it more - I did it once, and am doing it again and will probably do it a 3rd time.

Is it only for math?Or also for physics?

There's a ChemWOOT as well. But no physics.
