Chemistry Level 3

A 20 ml mixture of \(\ce{CO}\) and \(\ce{H2}\) is reacted with excess oxygen at 300 K and 1 atm. The mixture exploded and is cooled. There was a volume contraction of 18 ml. If the volume ratio of \(\ce{CO}\) and \(\ce{H2}\) in the original mixture was \(\frac{a}{b},\) where \(a\) and \(b\) are coprime integers, what is the value of \(a+b?\)
