The source voltage is given by \(V=V_o sin (\omega t)\) where \(\omega\) is the angular frequency, \(t\) is time and \(V_o\) is the peak voltage. At \(t=0\) current drawn from the source is \(0 A\) and it begins to flow in the direction as shown.
