Two circles of equal unit radii cut each other at an angle \(\theta\) such that their common chord is equal to half their radius. If \(\theta = \cos^{-1}\left(\dfrac{a}{b}\right)\) and \(0^\circ < \theta < 90^\circ\) , find \(a+b\).
