Gravity Pulley problem

A body of mass \(\text{m}_{ 1 }\text{=12kg}\) placed on a smooth horizontal table. It is connected to a string which passes over a friction less pulley and carries another body of mass \(\text{m }_{ 2 }\text{=8kg}\) at the other end. Calculate the acceleration produced in the bodies when the nail fixed on the table to hold \(\text{m}_{ 1 }\) is removed.

Details and Assumptions:

1) Take acceleration due to gravity as \(\text{10m s }^{ -2 }\)
