# Gravity Pulley problem

Classical Mechanics Level 2

A body of mass $$\text{m}_{ 1 }\text{=12kg}$$ placed on a smooth horizontal table. It is connected to a string which passes over a friction less pulley and carries another body of mass $$\text{m }_{ 2 }\text{=8kg}$$ at the other end. Calculate the acceleration produced in the bodies when the nail fixed on the table to hold $$\text{m}_{ 1 }$$ is removed.

Details and Assumptions:

1) Take acceleration due to gravity as $$\text{10m s }^{ -2 }$$
