When the mixture of $$CO$$ and $$H_2$$ is heated in presence of $$Cu$$ $$X(g)$$ is produced. When $$CO$$ and $$H_2$$ is heated in $$Cu, Zn$$, $$Cr_2O_3$$ $$Y(g)$$ is formed.
