Math in Daily Life: A Nice Stroll Around the Park
I like to take a nice walk around the park after I come home from work. I usually take a direct path to the park, which is 1 mile long.
I decide that I want to walk along the beach to the park. If the paths from my house to the park, from my house to the beach entrance, and from the beach entrance to the park form an equilateral triangle, then how many miles will I walk if I go to the beach entrance, and then the park entrance?
