In triangle ABC, CD is drawn such that BD = (1/3) AB, and BE is drawn such that AE = (1/3) AC. The two lines intersect at P. If the ratio of the area of the shaded region (yellow) to the total area of the triangle can expressed as a fraction $$\frac {a}{b}$$ where $$a$$ and $$b$$ are coprime positive integers, find $$a + b$$
