Solution, Solute and Solvent Problem 5

Chemistry Level 1

At \(20^\circ \text{C}\), the solubility of \(\ce{NaCl}\) is \(36\text{ g}/100\text{ g}\) water. If I use \(40\text{ g}\) of \(\ce{NaCl}\) to produce a saturated \(\ce{NaCl}\) solution, how much water do I need in grams?
