Recall that we want to find the length of BE in the diagram above. We have to find ways to express BE using the quantities that we know, which are AB, BC, AC, CD.

Let us see if similar triangles can help us simplify the problem. There are several similar triangles that we can find easily due to properties of circle, namely triangle ABE similar with triangle AFC and triangle CFD similar with triangle ABD. From the former set of similar triangles, find the answer of BE =... ! If AB is 28 cm,the CD is 14 cm and the AD is half times more than AB!
