Tension and acceleration on inclined plane

Consider a set-up as shown in the figure below.

If the tension in the string is \(\text{T N}\) and the acceleration of the whole system is \(\text{a} \ {\text{m/sec}}^2\), the submit the value of \(\text{T + a}\).

Details and assumptions:-

  • Assume that the pulley and strings shown in the figure are massless.
  • Assume that the surface of the inclined plane is frictionless.
  • Take \(\text{g}\) (acceleration due to gravity) as \(10 {\text{m/sec}}^2\).
  • Round your answer off to the nearest integer.
