The leaping meerkat

Geometry Level 5

As everyone knows meerkats live in the world of \( Q^d \) and move in it. They move around by making little jumps of the length exact one and always get to another point in \( Q^d \). Nature made it so, that meerkats can explore their world completely, meaning if they start from any point in \( Q^d \) they can get to any point of \( Q^d \) they want.
Let \( d\) now be the minimal integer that allows meerkats to do so. \( d \) is ?
