What is making the Earth to evade powerful solar flares (solar magnetic storms known as coronal mass ejections) from the Sun?
The reason is;
- i) The negligible volume of Earth when compared to Sun that escapes the huge flares every time they're ejected.
- ii) The 23.5 degrees of Earth's axial inclination with the normal to the plane of revolution of it around the Sun.
- iii) The molten iron and its spinning in the Earth's core that generates emf (magnetic field) around the planet as a shield.
- iv) The 30 km/s speed of revolution of Earth around Sun which is perfectly keeping it escape the flares before they reach the previous position of the planet.
NOTE: Solar flares occur when sped up charged particles, mostly electrons, interact with the plasma medium.
