# Everybody should know SHM

Classical Mechanics Level 5

Consider a simple pendulum having string of length $$l=30 \text{ cm}$$. Initially, the bob of the pendulum having mass $$m=2 \text{ kg}$$ is brought to the right end at angle of 90 degrees. Then, the bob is released (i.e. velocity is zero initially) from this position and it will start oscillating. There is no damping effect.

Find the time $$t$$ in seconds to reach the bob to the opposite end (left end).

Take acceleration due to gravity $$g=9.81 \text{ m/s}^2$$ .
