A student read in a book while studying chemistry that silver corrodes after some time after reacting with external constituents.
He decided to try it himself. He places a bright and shiny piece of silver (big piece to observe the tarnish cleanly) in the open (where it can get contact with the air moisture and other things) for about a month and forgets about it. After a month he gets back to the place to observe his sample. What would have happened to the silver?
