# You're taking me higher off the ground

Level pending

Block A and Block B are both shot with a bullet of mass 20 g. The blocks are identical and so are the bullets. However, the bullet is shot at the centre of mass of Block A and off center for Block B. Which Block reaches a higher height.

Details and Assumptions

• Assume there is no air resistance
• The acceleration due to gravity is $$g = 9.80 m/s^{2}$$
• Both blocks are shot by the bullets directly beneath them
• The bullets initially travel vertically upward with the same velocity (and therefore the same energy) before they hit the blocks
