How does subscription upgrading work?
You can upgrade your Brilliant subscription from a monthly or annual plan to a family plan directly on the web.
Who can upgrade?
Upgrades are available to subscribers on an active monthly or annual plan. You won't see the upgrade option if you:
- Are currently on a free trial
- Have a pending trial offer (this sometimes applies to new users within the first 48 hours of signing up)
What does upgrading cost?
When you go through the upgrade flow, you'll see a clear breakdown of what you owe on the checkout page:
- Prorated charge — the additional amount you'll pay immediately, based on the remaining time on your current billing period
- Next renewal price — the full price you'll be charged when your new plan renews
This way you always know exactly what you're paying before you confirm.
How do I upgrade?
- Go to your account settings on the Brilliant website
- Navigate to the Subscription section
- Select your new plan and follow the checkout steps
