This page maps the mathematics standards of the ACT to the Brilliant lessons that teach them. ACT publishes its College and Career Readiness Standards in six strands — Number and Quantity, Algebra, Functions, a shared Algebra/Functions strand, Geometry, and Statistics and Probability — and groups the standards within each strand by the ACT score range at which students typically demonstrate them. Those standards are the rows below. Search by standard code or skill to find the closest match. A standard is listed only where Brilliant content fully or in part addresses the standard directly.
A score range is a difficulty band, not a grade level: it describes what a student scoring in that range is likely to know and be able to do, so content taught early in school can still sit at a high range because the ACT asks harder questions about it. Each code combines the two — G.501 is a Geometry standard in the 24–27 band, and S.201 is a Statistics and Probability standard in the 13–15 band. ACT sets its College Readiness Benchmark for mathematics at a score of 22.
